The 877 is a compact GSM / GPS based vehicle tracking system with enhanced security features such as configurable alarm inputs, wireless immobiliser, anti- hijack and driver’s ID etc. Communication to peripherals is via a 2.4 GHz communicator.

The GPS information is relayed to the control room via GSM and the unit has a built in 868 MHz onboard beacon transmitter, once activated will assist in pin-pointing the vehicle, using a DF receiver and antenna.

Mr Colin Snyman, Group Sales & Marketing Director at PFK Electronics, presents the Best Control Systems Project prize, sponsored by PFK Electronics to Yashren Reddi, 4th year Electronic Engineering Student at the University of KZN, for his project - mini sedgeway. Yashren also went on to win the SAIEE National Students Project Competition hosted by UKZN.
