The 770 is a cost effective and compact standalone GSM Beacon vehicle tracking and recovery system that could also be employed as a backup to existing GSM / GPS tracking systems. The unit is pre-programmed to a “sleep” mode where there is no GSM communication and is therefore un-detectable from GSM scanners. The unit will periodically wake up and communicate with the control centre and revert back to “sleep” mode. If the vehicle was stolen or hijacked in the “sleep” period the message from the control centre will force it to stay awake and activate the onboard 868 MHz beacon transmitter. The vehicle can then be located by means of a direction finding (DF) antenna and receiver using the most recent GSM Triangulation co-ordinates.

PFK Won the Supplier of the year Award in the Electrical Category at the GMSA Supplier of the Year Awards function held in the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on the 31st March 2010.

 

 

This is our 4th Supplier of the Year Award from GMSA in 5 years which is quite an achievement. GM has hunderds of Suppliers and only a selected few ever manage to win just one award. The award is not really about "beating the Competition" but rather acknowledgement by GM of meeting their exact standards of supply in a specific category, but to get this acknowledgement for our efforts, ahead of our Competitors, year after year, is quite an achievement.
