PFK’s expertise is focussed around the three broad areas of Vehicle Security Systems, Telematics and Interlocks (Autowatch Alcolock). The focus on design is complemented by a state of the art production facility, which means PFK can take seamlessly take projects from concept through to final production.
PFK makes use of a state of the art manufacturing facility, to produce products that conform to the highest standards. The manufacturing model at PFK is based on complementing automated technology with a manual production component. This allows the company to cost-effectively produce large and small runs of products by adjusting the balance of the two accordingly.
The Surface Mount Device (SMD) production is fully automated, using screen printers, robotic pick-and-place SMD machines, reflow ovens and optical inspection. The thru-hole components are manually inserted and all testing is done via PC based automated test equipment. Currently, the SMD placing capacity is at 70 000 components per hour.
